Turkish helicopters bomb Kurdish sites in northeastern Syria

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Turkish helicopters on Tuesday bombed many military sites of Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) northeastern Syria, local activists said.

Activist Malaz al-Yusuf reported that unknown helicopters have bombed many sites of PYD’s militias like YPG, Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) and Sanadid militias around the village of Tal-Alo, the hometown of Hamidi al-Daham, Shiekh of Shomar tribes and founder of Sanadid militias, who is now the mutual governor of Jazeera Canton of PYD.

The activist added that sites are arms stores, and centers for militants, and training camps around the villages Qasimiyah and Zahiriyah, and the castle of al-Hadi, and area between the village of Tal-Alo and Tal-Mash-han southern of Jawadiya area in Malikiyah.

The activists mentioned that bombed areas are too close to the American airport in the oil-rich area of Rmilan, which is the station for cargo planes loaded with support and arms for PYD.

PYD receives arms via the The crossing point Feesh Khabor-Tonisiyah, with Iraqi Kurdistan. It is expected to deliver portable anti-airplane missiles to them after signing a decision about that by Barak Obama, according to Talal Salo, spokesman of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

People’s Protection Units (YPG) announced that Turkish Helicopters have bombed the area around the village of Tal-Alo in the countryside of Jawadiya town, with making any damage. Mentioning that clashed between them and the Turkish forces took place Tuesday, when the later entered the Syrian territory.

Democratic Union Party had announced Monday that 174 members have joined SDF after finishing their training for 15 days.

Turkey is trying to prevent PYD, the Syrian branch of Kurdistan’s Labor Party (PKK), the terrorist-listed organization, from expanding in Syrian, which caused huge annoyance of the American administration for the support they give to PYD, under claims of fighting the Islamic State.
