Death penalty to a teenager charged of blasphemy

"Zaman Alwasl" reporter in Aleppo confirmed that the killer of the coffee-boy probably didn't belong to any of Islamic Brigades.

In a message to "Zaman Alwasl" from "Aleppo Media Center" said that until that moment they didn't recognize any group or faction being behind the execution.

The Syrian observatory Human Rights said that Rebels fighting the Syrian regime have shot dead a 15-year-old boy in front of his parents and siblings after accusing him of blasphemy.

The boy is a street vendor selling coffee, was from the Shaar neighbourhood of the northern city of Aleppo. He has been named locally as Mohammad Kattaa.

Reports indicated that he was arguing with another boy on Saturday and used the name of Prophet Muhammad in a common phrase with bad connotations (swear at God) used by Syrians at which point he was picked up by fighters, beaten, and then shot.
