(Eqtsad)- Medication is one of the most important difficulties people in al-Waer, last opposition-controlled neighborhood in Homs city, as the Syrian regime prevents the entry of all medications and other basic materials.
Dr. Mohammed Moharem said the regime has completely prevented medication from entering the neighborhood since June 2016, when the last aid convoy delivered medications to pharmacies, excluding hospital equipment and medication, and the amount couldn't cover residents’ needs, he added.
“After that, we relied on the stored amount of medication and what was allowed in via humanitarian aid”, the doctor explained adding that after 3 months all the stored medication run out especially antibiotics, analgesics and intestinal drugs, beside medications of chronic disease (cancer, heart disease, neuro-psycho diseases).
