(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian rebels on Friday thwarted regime attack on the mountainous Jabal al-Akrad area in Latakia province, activists said.
The regime forces backed by Shiite militias launched attacks on al-Tuffahiya hilltop, taking advantage of discorded between main Syria's armed groups, the Fateh al-Sham and Ahrar al-Sham.
Regime warplanes also conducted raids on al-Kabbana and Kensabba villages.
In their turn, rebels fired Grad missiles on a bastion for the Iranian Revolution Guards in then northern countryside of Bashar al-Assad's heartland city.
