U.S. to receive Syrian refugees if UNHCR asks

According to "Los Angeles Times'' newspaper,  U.S. President Barack Obama are considering resettling refugees fled from Syria, as part of an international effort may receive thousands of Syrians in U.S. cities and towns.

An official in the U.S. Secretary of State said that the ministry is ready to consider the idea" if it received a formal request from the UNHCR "Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees," as is the procedure adopted.
