Three fugitives were killed Thursday as they tried to flee by boat from Bahrain to Iran following a prison break, the interior ministry said.
Those killed were prisoners who escaped in a Jan. 1 prison break or their accomplices, it said.
Seven other people were arrested in connection with the storming of the Jaw prison, which set free 10 people serving long sentences for "terrorism," it added.
