(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian rebels took three hilltops from regime forces in the coastal Latakia province, killing at least 20 troops, activists said on Friday.
The First Coastal Division, key Free Syrian Army unit, launched attack on regime bastions in Jabal al-Akrad late on Thursday, taking the hilltops of al-Qala'a, Rasho and Eyn Hor, activists Majd Naji told Zaman al-Wasl in phone call.
At least 20 troops have been killed in the ongoing attack, Naji added.
Meanwhile, the regime forces have withdrawn from Ardh al-Wata and al-Hakoura villages near Jabal al-Turkman as rebels press to seize Abu Ali hilltop and surrounding villages.
