(Zaman Al Wasl)- New American shipment of arms has arrived the province of Hasaka in order to be to be handed Syrian Democratic forces, the PYD-led militias that had announced the near arrival to Raqqa- Deir Ezzor route.
Activist Mahmood al-Ahmed confirmed that a military convoy had Monday arrived to the city of Hasaka, consisted of armoured vehicles, weapons and supplies to be handed to Syrian Democratic forces (SDF) from the US-led alliance against the Islamic State.
The activist mentioned that the convoy had arrived Syria from Northern of Iraq via Fish-Khabor-Tonisiya crossing point at the border city of Malikiya.
The activist added that many trucks of arms had arrived the camp of Tal-Bader northern of Hasaka, and it was not the first time for the camp to receive that kind of supply.
Moreover, social media sites loyal to the Democratic Union Party (PYD) mentioned that American anti-mine vehicles were within the weapon shipment, mentioning that some of the arms had arrived the city of Menbij.
The operation room of SDF’s Euphrates Anger reported in a press conference held yesterday in Hasaka city that its military campaign against the Islamic State was ongoing and it neared to cutting the route of Raqqa Deir Ezzor.
The operation room added that its forces had within a week controlled more than 100 villages covering an area of 1762 km2 in the countryside of Raqqa and Deir Ezzor, after clashed with the Islamic State led to killing 172 members of ISIS and capture 8.
the US-supported SDF led by PYD is planning to reach to the area of Jazarat at the river of Euphrates in prer to cut the supply route to the Islamic State from Deir Ezzor to Raqqa.
The SDF, which includes the powerful Kurdish YPG militia, he military wing of PYD, had launched its multi-phased campaign against ISIS last November, aimed at encircling and ultimately capturing Raqqa province.
The first phase of Euphrates Anger targeted areas north of Raqqa city. The second phase has started amost a month ago, targeting areas to the west of the city to capture the Islamic State-held Euphrates dam, besides encircling and controlling the road to militant strongholds in Deir Ezzor province.
Syrian Democratic Forces had Thursday February 9 launched the third stage of Euphrates Anger that started last November 6, and started a new front at the route next to Raqqa-Hasaka.
