(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian regimen has freed Samar Koukash, a prominent relief worker and former actress, after four years in detention over charges of 'supporting terrorism'.
The 45-year-old woman was arrested in 2013 when she went to streets opposing Bashar al-Assad's crackdown and daily shelling. Samar bothered the regime when she devoted her time and fame in aid and relief work since revolution erupted in March 2011.
Koukash is the daughter of Syria's most famous soap operas director Alaa' Eldin Koukash and late actress Malak Sukkar.
