Violent clashes have renewed again in Idlib countryside between Binnish and al-Fu'ah neighboring towns, Zaman Alwasl reporter said.

The militants of al-Fuah and Kafruya towns, predominantly Shia, launched an offensive on the rebels of Binnish on Friday, backed with Bashar al-Assad units.

Rebels purported killing 40 militant and arresting 20 of Assad forces and militias in in Mazar’a Broma (Farms of Proma) 5 km east Binnish, sources said.

While most towns of  Idlib province are under rebels control and Islamists , al-Fu'ah and the nearby town of Kafriya constitute an isolated pro-Assad enclave.

Syria’s conflict, now into its third year, has left over 115,000 dead. It has devastated the economy and the country’s delicate social fabric. It has caused 5 million Syrians to flee their homes to other places within the country, and driven another 2 million abroad.
