Rebels take two towns from regime in Hama province

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian rebels on Tuesday launched  major offensive in the central Hama province, taking two towns and destroying two fighters jets in Hama military airbase, activists and spokesman said.

The towns of Soran and Maadaras were taken by rebels after surprise attack.

Jaish al-Naser spokesman told the jihadist ElDorar news site that 2 warplanes inside Hama airbase were destroyed after being targeted by Grad rockets.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the clashes are still ongoing between Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham, powerful alliance led by former al-Qaeda group Fatah al-Sham.

The Britain-based monitoring group said regime warplanes have been pounding the most of the northern and western countryside of Hama, leaving casualties. No number revealed yet/
