ISIS kills senior army commander in Palmyra

(Zaman Al Wasl)-  Top army leader in the paramilitary Fifth Corps group has been killed by the Islamic State in the ancient city of Palmyra on Wednesday, pro-regime media said.

Major General Mohammed Hassan Sultan, who was born in Qerdaha, hometown of the Assad family, was the top commander of Assad’s newly-formed militia that contains University students, employees and Baath party members.
