Syrian Tribes Army 'not made in Jordan': commander

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Head of the Tribes Army has rebuffed regime claims that his alliance of tribes based at the border with Jordan and Iraq is an affiliate to Jordan's intelligence, saying the coordination with Amman is strategic in fighting ISIS.

Sheikh Rakan Khudhair, who with several Free Syrian Army commanders, attends the ongoing fifth round of Geneva peace talks, has refused any accusation of loyalty to the regional countries.

al-Khudhair affirmed to Zaman al-Wasl the big role of his army that contains 7000 tribesmen in fighting the Islamic State in the Syrian desert in a 'border triangle' links between Jordan and Iraq and Syria's Suweida city and Tanaf border crossing.
