Al Qaeda Affiliated in Syria releases weekly newspaper

 

Al-Qaeda affiliated in Syria has released the first edition of its weekly newspaper.

Sana al-Sham is 8-pages newspaper focuses on the main achievements of ISIL battles. In this edition the pro-al-Qaeda editor glorified the victory against the Northern Storm brigade in Azaz by the State two weeks ago.

For the first time, readers can know more about ISIL military Emir, Omar al-Chechani, foreign fighter from Chechnya, as well they can get more ‘credible’ news and statements by the main branch of al-Qaeda in Syria.  

In relevant development according the mounting gains of Bashar al-Assad forces in Aleppo, The Islamic State in a statement posted online called on "all brigades and Muslims to arms to face off against the enemy which is attacking Islamic territory."

"Those with a valid excuse not to fight must supply weapons and money," the ISIL statement said, while acknowledging "many losses in fighting for Base 80, Khanasser and Sfeira."

 Syria’s conflict, now into its third year, has left over 115,000 dead. It has devastated the economy and the country’s delicate social fabric. It has caused 5 million Syrians to flee their homes to other places within the country, and driven another 2 million abroad.
