(Zaman Al Wasl)- The U.S.-led coalition airstrikes killed 10 people in a border town with Iraq as the U.S. airdropped ground forces near Albukamal town in eastern Syria, local monitoring group said Sunday.
Activist Ahmed Ramadan from Furat Post, or Euphrates Post, said at least 10 people were killed in the U.S. airstrikes in the ISIS-held village of Al-Sukkariya.
The U.S. military had airlifted allied militia fighters between Albukamal and al-Mayadeen city. Such a move pushed ISIS fighters to arresting tens of youth and taking new measures amid concerns of collapse due to the major aerial bombing.
