Kurds’ PYD leader denies meeting Assad's Uncle in Geneva

Leader of the Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) did not meet at all  Dr. Riad Hijab, Defected Syrian Prime Minister, he said in a reply to rumors spread on regime’s websites to Zaman Alwasl.

More rumours said that Mr. Saleh Muslim met Refaat al-Assad, Uncle of Bashar al-Assad in Geneva during their meeting with Mikhail Bogdanov, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia who handles the Syrian file.

 Muslim commented on that saying: “If we’d wanted to meet Rifaat, we would have done before, but we did not meet in Geneva as Bogdanov met each of us separately, I was a representative of the supreme legislative authority, not as a member of the national coordination body for Democratic change.”

Moreover he said that Rifaat al-Assad can’t be considered a part of the Syrian opposition.
