Zaman al-Wasl is publishing the names of the Syrian military pilots who conducted and still carrying out daily barrel bombs attacks on opposition-held areas.
The deadly weapon whose use was Russia’s idea cost the regime only a small price. It is considered one of the cheapest types of bombs.
It weighs 150 to 600 kg and carries between 150 and 300 kg explosives mixed with TNT, with the possibility of adding metal and scrap metal to the content.
In addition the regime has the ability to supply the barrel with toxic and chemical weapons and the regime has done it with the recognition of UN commissions of inquiry.
Despite Security Council resolution 2139 of February 2014, with the consent of Russia, Assad's ally that the regime should stop the use of explosive barrels, the regime's helicopters continued to fire them over the heads of civilians.

The airports of Beli, Mezzeh, Nayrab, Hama, Marj al-Sultan and Taftnaz and Meng are also the most effective airports for the bombing of barrels and explosive containers on Syrian cities.

They have committed hundreds of massacres in addition to transfer of mercenaries and ammunition.
The Mezzeh airport had a portion of the barrels thrown. The Gazelle helicopter, mainly deployed at Mezzeh airport, did carry out bombing explosive barrels despite its inability to carry the barrels and bombs for long distances.
But Assad forces used it to bombard the suburbs of Damascus, such as Daraya and the northern Hama countryside using guided missiles, as well as targeting and destroying civilian vehicles fleeing the regime and ISIS in the desert to the south in Badiayat al-Sham.
