Waer Neighborhood: 2400 people, including 400 rebels, head Jarablus town

(Zaman Al Wasl)- The largest batch of al-Waer neighborhood’s evacuees on Thursday has left the last rebel stronghold in Homs city, heading Jarablus town at the Turkish border due to an evacuation deal forced, till now, 15700 people to leave Homs in weekly batches, local reporter said.

60 buses were loaded with 2400 people, including 400 rebel fighters and 640 families, resuming an evacuation expected to be among the largest of its kind under a Russian-backed deal with the regime.

The evacuation is scheduled to deport about 25000 rebels and their families.

Over the past year, the regime has accelerated its drive to push rebel-held pockets to surrender under evacuation deals similar to the one in force in Homs.
