Rebels monitor Russian warplanes communications

Zaman al-Wasl obtained three recordings documenting the communication of a Russian pilot with the control tower in northern countryside of Homs, which is likely to be the watchtower of the Hemeimim base in Lattakia.

Three recordings show that Russian air communications code became accessible to the small rebel observatories, indicating that Russian warships do not rely on sophisticated encryption systems during the implementation of the flights and bombardments targeting areas outside regime control.

The pilot and the ground carrier exchanged numerical coordinates, often used to bomb predefined targets, and exchanged flight-specific codes.

The recordings are important for monitoring the talks of the Russian air force, which controls the Syrian airspace. This opens the door to follow up and document the crimes and massacres committed by the Russians against civilians in Syria.

A source related to leakage of recordings mentioned that the monitoring was carried out during the bombing mission carried out by Russian warplanes in the eastern Homs countryside.

The source noted that the Russians are currently seeking to establish a "safety belt" around the gas and oil wells and now they are putting out the fires started by ISIS.

The source added obtained information indicates that the Russians put a condition to get 50 percent of the production of each well they are rehabilitating and operating until the date of depletion, and one of Russia's goals to stabilize the agreement of the four areas to reduce tension is full-time to control of the fields contain gas reserves in the desert of Homs.
