Al-Jadeed says crew attacked, journalist arrested

The Beirut-based television channel Al-Jadeed said members of the General Security attacked Tuesday a TV program crew and arrested one journalist.

Footage aired on Al-Jadeed showed the team getting beaten up by customs personnel in their plain green military uniforms outside the General Security customs headquarters in downtown Beirut.

Al-Jadeed said one of the crew members, identified as Riad Qobeissi, was detained.
