36 troops from Tartus killed in first half of July

(Zaman Al Wasl)-At least 36 regime troops, including 6 officers, from Tartus province in the first half of July by rebels and Islamic State, regime news feeds said.

Most of regime deaths were Alawites, the Assad family's sect, an offshoot of Shiite Islam, since the the Syrian war turned into brutal sectarian conflict dragged thousands of Iran-backed Shiite militias to fight along with Assad.

The mourning posters have been sweeping the streets and pro-regime social media of coastal province.
 
Residents of Tartus, the regime's powerful militant supplier, say no men have been left in the city. Funeral everywhere and everyday.  The daily bloodshed pushed supporters of Assad to demand a peace solution ending the 6-year-old war.

Tartus suffered decades of negligence and constant resentment in comparison with the next-door city of Latakia where services and tourism and fortune.
