(Zaman Al Wasl)- Hezbollah fighters captured more territory from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham in fierce fighting in Arsal outskirts Sunday, the third day of an offensive that looks set to clear the area of militants, according the Lebanese Daily Star.
The regime-backed attack to drive al Qaeda's former Syria branch from their last foothold along the border left 19 Hezbollah militants dead, according to Lebanese news feeds.
Meanwhile, Saraya Ahl al-Sham has reached a deal with Hezbollah militia and the regime army to halt fighting in Juroud Arsal, spokesman of the group told Zaman al-Wasl.
The cessation of fighting began at early Sunday as the warring parties agreed that Saraya Ahl al-Sham will withdraw to al-Ruhaiba town in Eastern Qalamoun, Omar la-Sheikh said.
