Pro-regime Palestinian militia mourns 14 members killed by ISIS

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Galilee Units, a Palestinian militia fighting with Assad forces in eastern Syria, has mourned 14 fighters on Thursday said they had been killed in clashes with the Islamic State last week.
 
Fadi Mallah, the commander of Galilee Units said his fighters killed near Salamiya town in the eastern countryside of Hama province.
 
Last week, Salamiya National Hospital received bodies of 50 soldiers were killed with 100 more in ISIS deadly suicide attacks near Raqqa city, local sources said.
 
Pro-regime media outlets said about 300 soldiers had been killed and missed since last week as ISIS militants pushed back regime forces advancing on Maadan, one of the last towns still in ISIS hands in the province of Raqqa, killing dozens and seizing vehicles.
  
ISIS media channels posted pictures of the attacked Assad army convoy and bodies of over a dozen soldiers. Maadan lies along the southern banks of the Euphrates River and is 60 kilometers (37 miles) east of the city of Raqqa, where the U.S-backed Syrian opposition forces are separately battling ISIS.
