Assad forces pounded Syrian mosque in the embattled Al Wa'er neighborhood of Homs during Friday's prayer (Muslim's weekly prayer), killing the mosque Imam and unknown number of worshipers, activists reported.
Sheikh Safwan Masharekah, Al Omari Mosque’s Imam, had been killed while he was praying to God to save Syrian people and the worshipers.
An estimated 126,000 people have been killed and millions displaced by Syria's civil war, which erupted after a fierce government crackdown on pro-democracy protests first held in March 2011
