(Zaman Al Wasl)- Fierce clashes erupted early Monday between regime forces and rebels in the capital’s eastern neighborhood of Jobar as regime seeks to advance in the long-besieged opposition-held pocket, local activists said.
Jobar Media Office said regime forces have fired at least 20 surface-to-surface missiles on the neighborhood since early Sunday along with heavy artillery shelling.
For almost 6 years, the regime forces have failed to take full control of Jobar despite countless attacks.
