(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian rebels have handed over Bab al-Salama border crossing with Turkey to the opposition’s Interim Government on Tuesday, local activists said.
The strategic crossing near Azaz town in northern Aleppo province will be under the full control of the Coalition's government, such a move comes as Turkey seeks to expel hardline rebels from northern Syria along the border after the collapse of the Islamic State.
The Interim Government formed in September a Defense Ministry including 44 moderate armed factions, saying the step was to build Syria’s national army.
