Saudi Arabia Saturday intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile northeast of the capital Riyadh, state media reported.
"The missile was of limited size [and] no injuries or damage" were reported, state news channel Al-Ekhbariya said.
A source in Riyadh told The Daily Star that an explosion was heard early Saturday evening although they had no details on any damage or how far away the noise was.
