(Zaman Al Wasl)- Iran's Revolutionary Guard has formed new militia in southern Daraa province, local activists said on Monday.
More than 200 young people have joined the newly-formed 313 Brigade that based in the regime-held town of Izra'.
Iran-backed militias have been key to regime offensives in southern Syria, including Daraa province which shares borders with Jordan and the Golan Heights.
Tehran is a major backer of the Syrian regime and has sent thousands of Revolutionary Guard and Shia militia fighters to bolster Damascus' decimated armed forces, according to The New Arab.
