Regime forces violate de-escalation agreement in Daraa city

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian regime pounded the old city of Daraa with surface-to-surface missile on Monday, leaving dozen of people wounded, residents told Zaman al-Wasl.

The attack near al-Omari Mosque has violated a 7-old-month ceasefire agreement brokers by regional powers/

The agreement which signed in May by regime backers Iran and Russia, and rebel ally Turkey in the Kazakh capital, Astana was the latest in a series of ceasefire proposals aimed at ending Syria's war, according to Al-Jazeera News.

The plan calls for the cessation of hostilities between rebel groups and forces fighting on behalf of Bashar al-Assad's government in four so-called de-escalation zones in mainly opposition-held areas of the country, with Russia, Turkey and Iran to act as guarantors.
