3 regime troops killed in ISIS attack south of Damascus

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Three regime troops were killed when ISIS militants attacked their checkpoints in a southern suburb of Damascus  the group’s official news agency and local reporter said on Wednesday.

Amaq claimed that ISIS members took buildings from regime army near al-Tadhamon neighborhood, killing three soldieres.

In retaliation, the regime forces have pounded ISIS-held areas in tadhamon and Yarmouk camp with heavy artillery.

Despite the enmity, the regime evacuated 11 Daesh fighters, including commanders, from southern Damascus suburbs on Tuesday, local reporter said.

The extremist fighters left the district of al-Hajer al-Aswad to unknown destination, according to the source.

Last June, UN and regime delegates met with ISIS commanders in al-Hajer al-Aswad to seal an agreement allowing fighters of the radical group to leave the capital toward Syrian desert where ISIS still controls pockets in eastern Homs and Badiya.

The long-awaited deal is due to eliminate all rebels and jihadist from Yarmouk Camp and al-Hajer al-Aswad south of Damascus except the eastern district.

About 2000 ISIS fighters with their families aim to head  the Syrian desert, also known as al-Badia.
