FSA group urges fighters to not target Christian areas as Assad hopes

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Jaish al-Izza, key Free Syrian Army Unit, called on its fighters to avoid the regime army provocations in the Christian-dominated towns in Hama province before the Christmas.

The regime forces that based in Mahardeh and Suqaylabiyah- Eastern Orthodox Christian towns located northwest of Hama city have been pounding opposition-held areas with artillery over the past two weeks, seeking a retaliation by rebels. 

Jaish al-Izza assured in statement that FSA fighters are committed to the morals of Islam and coexistence values, warning of regime attempts to use and counterattack in its propaganda campaign against moderate rebels.

The Assad troops have been pushing north from a corner of the adjacent province of Hama, as well as from Aleppo province to Idlib's east.

Accodring to AFP, They have seized around 40 towns and villages across the three provinces in recent weeks.
