(Zaman Al Wasl)- U.S. army carried out a raid on an ISIS pocket in northeastern Hasaka province late on Friday, killing 3 civilians, local activists said.
The U.S. forces made an airdrop to arrest a commander in Daesh lives in the village of Tel Zahab southeast of Hasaka city.
Activists said the commander might have been killed after exchanging fire with the US troops who took his family members as hostages.
The U.S. forces killed a man and his wife and daughter while they were fleeing the clash.
About 1000 civilians killed in US-led coalition airstrikes in 2007, local monitoring groups said.
The raid came after the end of one-month truce between the Kurdish-led forces and ISIS in an array of villages at the Iraqi border.
