(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian regime has reopened the main gate to the town of Babbila in southern Damascus suburbs, allowing civilians and goods entry, local activists said on Thursday.
The closure of Babbila-Sidi Meqdad checkpoint lasted for nine days after tension between rebels factions and opposition figures work to reach reconciliation deal with the regime.
Sources told Zaman al-Wasl the regime is press on rebels to accept Sheikh Anas al-Taweel as the town's representative in the reconciliation talks.
Residents voiced support for al-Taweel, urgening rebels to abide by the deal to evacuate Babila.
