Daraa: 3 civilians killed in regime artillery on Nawa town

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Three civilians, including a woman and an a child, were killed when regime artillery pounded the town of Nawa in southern Daraa province in a new violation to de-escalation zone agreement, field sources told Zaman al-Wasl on Wednesday.

The bombardment targeted a marketplace in Nawa. Several people were also wounded.

On Tuesday, four rebel fighters killed in regime artillery shelling on region of Allajat near the Jordanian border.

The regime bombardment extended to the town of al-Nu'aima in the eastern countryside of Daraa where the regime forces pounded the town with surface-to-surface missiles over during week.

Skirmishes also took place in the neighborhood of al-Manshiya in the Old City of Daraa.

Since a Russian-U.S. brokered ceasefire on July 9, 2017 in southern Syria, local monitoring groups document more than 100 violations that killed dozens.

More than 470,000 people have been killed and 12 millions have been driven from their homes since Syria's revolutions erupted in 2011.
