(Zaman Al Wasl)- ISIS militants took a district in southern Damascus suburbs after fierce clashes with Jaish al-Islam rebel group, military source told Zaman al-Wasl on Saturday.
Daesh launched major attack last week to capture al-Zain Neighborhood which lies between the neighborhood of al-Hajer al-Aswad and Yalda district near Yarmouk Camp.
Dozen of militants killed over the week, including 3 Islam Army fighters and 2 ISIS militants on Saturday.
The sources said ISIS had stormed Jaish al-Islam bastions with 7 rockets provided by the Syrian regime to the extremist group.
Activist Ayham al-Omar revealed that ISIS wounded have been receiving treatment in the regime-held areas. 13 ISIS wounded were admitted to al-Mahayni Hospital in Damascus on Wednesday, he added.
