(Zaman Al Wasl)- Russian airstrikes on northwestern Idlib province have killed three civilians, including children, Civil Defense rescuing group said Wednesday.
The Russian warplanes carried raids on the town of Maarrat Harma, killing and wounding 13 people, the White Helmets reported on its official Twitter account.
Idlib is the largest chunk of Syrian territory held by moderate rebels and Islamist factions including Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, al Qaeda's former affiliate.
On Tuesday, Daesh (ISIS) has been ousted from Idlib province after a final group of the militants surrendered to Tahrir al-Sham, AFP said.
Some 400 people including Daesh fighters, relatives and wounded, gave themselves up to an alliance of rebel groups Tuesday, a spokesman for the Jaish al-Nasr faction said, which took part in the operation.
The regime troops pushed them out of Hama and into Idlib province last week, said Rami Abdel-Rahman, head of the Syrian Observatory for human Rights.
