(Zaman Al Wasl TV)- A daughter of Syian migrant has adopted the cases of refugees filled with nostalgia to her family hometown of Aleppo.
Nahla Othman, a lawyer specialized in asylum issues in Germany.
35 years ago, Othman’s father’s rights was stripped from him to live in a state of forced displacement and growing nostalgia for his country.
Under the dome of German court houses, Nahla has been defending the rights of her fellow countrymen to ensure that they, and others who experience circumstances like theirs, will be able to secure a safe life and the chance to experience a family life. She chose to take on asylum cases and she has played a key role in the release of the Asylum Act in the German state of Hessen to ensure redress for asylum seekers.
35 years of forced displacement taught Nahla the meaning of humanity and human rights.
She has also contributed to field of aid and relief and has delivered aid inside Syrian, accompanied by her father, the old refugee, who does not mention Aleppo except with tears in his eyes.
In addition to her work, Nahla seeks to prosecute war criminals in Syria and war criminals who came to Europe under the guise of seeking asylum. The world will not become better as long as impunity continues.
