Fares, Syrian pioneer killed in Damascus

 (Zaman Al Wasl)- A Syrian pioneer and University student was killed in Damascus as family denied that their son has passed away due to random cross-fire, local activists said Thursday.

Ahmed Talal Fares, from central Homs city, was preparing his graduation project in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering before being killed in The Abbasids suburb at the gate of Eastern Ghouta district.

Fares won the bronze medal in an invention competition for an electric wheelchair enables the disabled to climb the stairs without assistance and making their move easier.

Fares was one of the inventors who recieved sponsored and funded by the European Institute for Cooperation and Development, a non-profit organization based in Strasbourg, France.
