(Zaman Al Wasl)- The FSA-held city of Azaz signed a contract with Turkish AK energy to restore electricity to the border region by first of April.
The move will help the residents of Azaz to not relying on electricity generators and will less the expenses.
The Turkish company said the electricity will availan during the the 24 hours and the monthly subscription is less than generators.
Mr. Mohamed Omar Mustafa, Director of the service office in the Council of the city of Azaz, told EQTSAD the Turkish company will provived on 30 megawatts of electricity, as the cost of the project is not yet fixed.
Al-Mustafa added that "the project aims primarily to feed the city of Azzaz, and then the area of Azaz in full, to include the entire area of the shield Euphrates."
According to our correspondent, the local council has a percentage of the project, and the technical staff of the council, composed of 65 workers, will do the work of the project.
The Turkish company is scheduled to start its work on April 1, relying on the rehabilitation of the current network and benefiting from it to deliver electricity to the homes of the people. The network will be moved from the aerial to the ground network, to ensure its quality and reduce its failures.
The company's contract lasts for ten years.
