Hama: rebels take two towns from regime forces

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian rebels took two towns from regime army in the northwestern province of Hama, according to a statement posted online Wednesday.

Jaish al-Izza said the attack was in retaliation to the ongoing onslaught on the Eastern Ghouta suburbs that claimed lives of 1200 people in three weeks of deadly bombing.

Clashes are still ongoing near the villages of la-Mugheer and al-Sakher, the moderate rebels group said.

Early Wednesday they seized control of Karnaz and Hamamyat towns.

In response, regime jets have pounded the rebel-held countryside of Hama, killing three children in the town of Qalaat al-Madiq.
