(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian regime forces stepped up its ground bombardment on opposition-held areas in central Homs province, killing six civilians and wounding 15 more, local reporter said on Monday.
The regime army backed by Iranian militias targeted the towns of al-Meshrefa, Talbiseh, al-Houla and Deir al-Foul in the northern countryside of Homs city.
A family of four members, including two children, was among the victims, according to Zaman al-Wasl reporter.
Northern Homs is one the four de-escalation zones agreed in Astana last September.
The deal calls for the cessation of hostilities between anti-regime groups and forces fighting on behalf of Bashar al-Assad in four so-called de-escalation zones in mainly opposition-held areas of the country, with Russia, Turkey and Iran to act as guarantors.
