(Zaman Al Wasl)- U.S.-led forces made a prisoner swap with Daesh in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor city, local activists said on Wednesday.
20 captives from each side were exchanged in al-Omar gas field, as a second swap deal will take place in a month, activist Abdul Rahman al-Kheder told Zaman al-Wasl.
The freed ISIS fighters were from different nationalities while the freed SDF fighters where 9 YPG fighters and 10 from the Deri Ezzor Military Council.
The exchange coincides with a truce between the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces and ISIS in al-Hajeen town nearby villages at the Iraqi border.
