(Zaman Al Wasl)- Faylaq al-Rahman, once key Islamist group in Eastern Ghouta suburbs, has swindled the local council, taking $250,000 before being evacuated to northern Syria, documents obtained by Zaman al-Wasl showed.
Mustafa Saker, Head of the Local Council, demanded the group to give backed the 'trust' after the rebels agreed to leave eastern enclave of Damascus in March.
Failq al-Rahman said the amount was spent on fighting, fighters' expenses and food.
