ISIS blast kills two civilians in Raqqa

(Zaman Al Wasl)- An ISIS car bomb killed two people in Raqqa city when the Kurdish forces were removing rubble in the war-ravaged city in northeastern Syria, local media outlets said Saturday.

Three more civilians were wounded due to the blast in Tel Abyad Street.

Since the fall of Raqqa, once ISIS de-facto capital, in October 2017, the life aspects have revived in the city as residents and local authorities have been removing depris and rubbish spread everywhere, trying to rebuild their city.

Despite demining efforts to clear the area from ISIS remains, some mines and car bombs still existed, local activists say.
