US led airstrikes kill 8 family members in Hasaka

(Zaman Al Wasl)- At least 8 civilians were killed late on Friday in U.S.-led coalition airstrikes against last Daesh strongholds in Hasaka provinces, activists said.

The strikes east of al-Shaddadi town have killed 8 family members, mostly women and children.

The U.S. and allied countries say they support the YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces in its battle to uproot ISIS from northeastern Syria. Such a ‘support’ has claimed lives of more than 2000 people and has displaced thousands more.

Meanwhile, activist Mohamed al-Khedher said the U.S. base in Hasaka had sent a military convoy, including six armored vehicles, to the eastern bank of Euphrates River as reinforcement to the SDF.

More than 470,000 people have been killed and 12 millions have been driven from their homes since Syria's revolution erupted in 2011.
