9 troops killed by explosive devices in Homs: activists


(Zaman Al Wasl)- At least 9 troops killed by improvised explosive devices in the central province of Homs in the past 48 hours, local activists said.

Five forces, including officer, killed while they were clearing landmines in the town of Teldo in the northern countryside of Homs. 

4 more troops were killed by an ISIS-planted IED near the ancient city of Palmyra in the eastern countryside of Homs.

More than 125,000 pro-regime forces have been killed in seven years of brutal war, according to local monitoring groups.

The Alawites-dominated areas are still the main manpower supply for Bashar al-Assad's regime. The mourning posters and statements have been sweeping the streets and social media pages.
