(Zaman Al Wasl)- Seven fighters from Tahrir al-Sham group were killed by assailants attacked their checkpoints in the northern province of Idlib, retaliating to the execution of 4 people linked to Daesh, local reporter said Saturday.
The former al-Qaeda group in Syria said the executed men had carried out a series of serial killing against rebel commanders and civilians in the city of Idlib in the last few weeks. Also, they tried to free fellow fighters who still in Tahrir al-Sham's prisons.
The execution took place in the main square in the city of Idlib where tens of people have attended the brutal show.
Idlib has been a haven for tens of thousands of rebels and civilians who were forced to abandon their homes in other parts of western Syria that the regime and its foreign military allies have recaptured from rebels.
