(Zaman Al Wasl)- US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces stormed the bastion of the rival group in the eastern city of Raqqa, leaving three fighters killed, rebel source said Monday.
The YPG-led forces that took control of once Daesh de-facto capital last October is pressing to expel Liwa Thuwar al-Raqqa, mainly formed by tribesmen, from the neighborhood of al-Rmaila.
Resident of the neighborhood rallied against the SDF, demanding to halt its offensive against Thuwar al-Raqqa.
