A rebel group, said in statement posted online
that 85 militants of forces loyal to Bashar al Assad have been killed after
bombing their base in Mlaiha, east Damascus.
Rebels blew up a building used as a military base for Assad forces, situated near the Air Defence headquarters in Mlaiha city, Muhannad Issa,
Rahman Legion spokesman told Zaman Alwasl reporter.
Fierce clashes still
going on near the Air Defence headquarters, Issa says.
Since March 2011, more
than 136,000 people across Syria have been killed and nearly 6 million forced
from their homes.
The conflict began with
popular protests against four decades of Assad family rule but evolved into a
civil war after a crackdown by security forces led to an armed uprising.
