Daesh sleeper cells very active in Idlib

(Zaman Al Wasl)- The Islamic State's killing propaganda has surfaced again in Syria after two orange-dressed people were hanged at a bridge in the northern province of Idlib, activists said Sunday

The victims were kidnapped on Thursday near the town of Ariha.

Daesh sleeper cells are highly active amid a series of serial killing in Idlib province which under the control of Tahrir al-Sham, formerly known as the Nusra Front.

The two men were swinging at an iron bridge near the highway between Jisr la-Shughour and Latakia, local reporter said.

Over the week, Daesh surfaced on social media a footage showing three Tahrir al-Sham fighters being killed near Ariha town.

Idlib has been a haven for tens of thousands of rebels and 2.3mn civilians who were forced to abandon their homes in other parts of western Syria that the regime and its foreign military allies have recaptured from rebels.

Syria has been locked in a devastating war since March 2011, when the Bashar al-Assad regime cracked down on pro-democracy protests with unexpected ferocity. UN and local monitoring groups says more than 400,000 people have been killed and million have been displaced.
